Datarep was founded in 1979 to take advantage of the lucrative computer and electronics market in Northern California.

First chartered to concentrate in the mini-computer marketplace, the company quickly moved into the workstation arena. VME, PC104 embedded systems and power supplies were the initial thrust of the company. Datarep recognized the potential of the communications marketplace and expanded into that sector. Datarep’s experience extends throughout the computer industry at the OEM board level.

Datarep’s experience covers a wide range of products. Some of the lines Datarep has represented are: power supplies, LCDs, SCSI host adapters, SCSI extenders and SCSI converters, disk and tape controllers, memory, RAID systems, CPU boards, VME systems utilizing a passive backplane and many other board level and subsystem products.

With the constantly changing computer/electronics environment, Datarep has continued to update its product lines, evaluated its strengths, improve its knowledge and capitalize on it.
